Beam Communications Introduces Zoleo Track Service

BCC

Beam Communications (ASX: BCC) has announced the launch of the Zoleo Track service, aimed at enterprise and government customers, to strengthen the adoption of its satellite communicator in the business-to-business (B2B) market. The service is offered through the Zoleo Inc joint venture, which includes Beam and US mobile satellite solutions provider Roadpost Inc. Zoleo Track is expected to create new opportunities for increased subscriptions to the add-on Location Share+ service and boost average revenue per user (ARPU).

Real-Time Monitoring and Safety

Zoleo Track, a free app, enables corporations to monitor, manage, and locate their staff in real time, enhancing safety and operational efficiencies. This service is particularly valuable for lone or remote workers, as well as frontline emergency services personnel. When Zoleo Track and Location Share+ are activated, organizations can receive automatic notifications regarding location updates, check-ins, emergency events, and detailed “breadcrumb” tracking of selected staff. Breadcrumbs refer to a series of data points that track the movement of a device or individual using GPS technology.

Robust Features and Data Analysis

The Zoleo Track portal supports topographic, street, and satellite views, and the data can be exported for offline analysis. Additional features include assigning unique names and users to a Zoleo device, map filtering, device searching, and reviewing historic location reports with date and time stamps. These functionalities enhance the usability and flexibility of the service, providing organizations with comprehensive tools for efficient management.

Ensuring Safety for Remote Workers and Emergency Crews

Beam’s managing director, Michael Capocchi, emphasized the value of Zoleo Track for larger organizations with multiple teams of remote workers and emergency crews. Capocchi stated that the service acts as a crucial safety net, significantly improving the value proposition of Zoleo. It also opens up opportunities to target larger enterprise and government customers seeking extensive deployment of Zoleo devices.

European Expansion and Market Distribution

In May, Zoleo Inc began its expansion into Europe, making the Zoleo satellite communications device available in the United Kingdom, Norway, Finland, Sweden, and Denmark. The device will be sold directly through the Zoleo website and the Amazon marketplace. Beam is set to receive 50% of the profits from subscribers in these new markets. Distribution in the Nordic region will be managed by Cirdan, the company’s authorized distributor. Cirdan has an extensive network of retailers and dealers specializing in outdoor accessories.

In summary, Beam Communications has introduced the Zoleo Track service to drive B2B adoption of its satellite communicator. This service enables real-time monitoring, safety enhancements, and efficient management of remote workers and emergency crews. With robust features and data analysis capabilities, Zoleo Track provides valuable tools for larger organizations operating in isolated environments. Additionally, the expansion of Zoleo’s presence into Europe presents new opportunities for market growth, with strategic distribution partnerships ensuring broader accessibility for customers in the Nordic region.
